Itinerary
Day 1
Viva Las Vegas!
Welcome to Las Vegas – the city of lights, glamour, and endless entertainment possibilities! Upon arrival, we will check into the hotel to freshen up and rest after the flight.
The first evening is dedicated to free time, allowing everyone to experience it as they wish.
Las Vegas offers something for everyone – from luxurious casinos, world-famous shows and fine dining restaurants to impressive fountain displays and attractive landmarks.
You’ll have the chance to stroll down The Strip (the main street of Las Vegas), see the Bellagio fountains, attend a Cirque du Soleil show, or try your luck at one of the world's most renowned casinos - Caesars Palace, MGM Grand, or The Venetian.
Day 2
Valley of Fire – Zion National Park
We start the day early with a quick breakfast at the hotel, then head northeast towards Valley of Fire State Park – one of the most remarkable natural parks in Nevada.
Before noon, we'll reach the unique rock formation The Wave – a place offering incredible photo opportunities and awe-inspiring views, as if we're on another planet.
The landscape here is astonishing, with bright red and orange rocks sculpted by wind and time, forming wave-like lines and shapes.
After short photo stops at other park locations, we continue to Zion National Park, our first stop in Utah and one of the iconic Utah's Mighty 5.
Upon arriving in Zion, we settle in at Watchman Campground. The afternoon is free for first impressions of Zion – we can take a short walk to nearby viewpoints or simply enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh air of the National Park.
Day 3
Zion National Park
The day begins with a fresh breakfast, after which we embark on a trek into the heart of the park.
Our favourite, and main activity in Zion is one of the most iconic and dangerous hikes in America - Angels Landing.
This challenging route includes steep ascents and narrow paths, but the reward is an incredible panoramic view from a vertical rock perched at the canyon's base.
Due to the immense tourist interest, this route now requires a permit and participation in a lottery. We will do everything possible to win, and in case we don't qualify, we have prepared an alternative route and options for other activities that can make your day special and your experience in Zion unforgettable.
Day 4
Bryce Canyon National Park
We wake up early and start the day with a warm breakfast in Springdale before heading northwest to Bryce Canyon National Park – one of the most fascinating parks in Utah, known for its unique 'hoodoo' formations and striking reddish and orange canyons.
After a 2-hour drive, we enter the magic of Bryce Canyon – with its enchanting hoodoos and dramatic views.
The nature here is sculpted in a way like no other, and the trails and panoramas will immerse us in a true natural gallery. This day is filled with colours and energy as we explore Utah's beauty.
Before lunch, we'll visit some of the most famous viewpoints, and in the afternoon, we'll take you on a trail that combines two of the most beautiful paths in the park. The Queens Garden Trail takes us among the wavy rock formations, while the Navajo Loop Trail will plunge us into the canyon's depths and provide a close-up view of the famous Wall Street and Thor's Hammer.
Day 5
Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument
The day begins with an early wake-up and breakfast at Bryce Canyon Lodge, where we can fuel up for the new day before heading to our next destination – Capitol Reef National Park.
On the way, we'll make a few stops at Grand Staircase-Escalante, and depending on our schedule, we might explore sights like Peek-a-Boo & Slot Canyons, Devils Garden or Lower Calf Creek Falls.
Day 6
Capitol Reef National Park
Our next stop is Capitol Reef – a park known for its unique geological formations, long fissures, and historic petroglyphs.
The day's itinerary includes a gentle hike to Hickman Bridge, rewarding us with stunning views and numerous photo opportunities, and a visit to the fertile valley of Fruita, which retains traces of the lives of the early settlers.
Day 7
Goblin Valley & Factory Butte
After an early breakfast at Gifford House in Capitol Reef, we head west to discover some of Utah's most unusual and surreal landscapes. Today's journey will take us through Goblin Valley State Park and Factory Butte, before we reach Arches National Park, where we'll spend the afternoon.
Goblin Valley is a unique park filled with whimsical rock formations known as 'goblins', offering a great opportunity for walks and photography. The sculptural forms in the park resemble fantastical creatures shaped by nature. We'll spend about 1-1.5 hours exploring this incredible valley and enjoying one of Utah's most remarkable spots.
Factory Butte is one of the most photogenic places in the area. This solitary plateau, surrounded by desert landscape, offers dramatic and mystical views. We'll take around a 30-minute break for photos and a short walk.
In the afternoon, we arrive at Arches National Park and will have the opportunity to explore some of the main attractions.
Day 8
Arches National Park
This morning, we wake up in Moab, ready for a whole day dedicated to exploring Arches National Park – home to over 2,000 stone arches and impressive geological formations. The day offers us both tranquility and excitement as we explore the park's most famous and scenic spots.
We start the day with one of the most popular trails – Devils Garden Trail. Here, we'll see the renowned Landscape Arch – the longest natural arch in the park. For the more adventurous, the trail continues to Double O Arch and several smaller arches that offer unforgettable views.
In the afternoon, we'll head to the park's most iconic arch – Delicate Arch. This picturesque hike, about 3 miles (4.8 km) in total, is a bit more challenging, but absolutely worth it. We arrive at the arch, where we can take breathtaking photos and enjoy the natural beauty that this symbol of Utah offers.
To end the day, we'll explore the Windows Section, which is home to a variety of intriguing arches, including North and South Window, as well as the famous Double Arch. It's a great opportunity for a short and easy hike, suitable for all levels of physical activity.
Day 9
Canyonlands & Dead Horse Point
After an unforgettable day at Arches National Park, today we'll head to Canyonlands National Park, specifically the Island in the Sky district—the most accessible part of the park, renowned for its stunning panoramic views of expansive canyons carved by the Colorado River and its tributaries. Here, we can revel in the majesty of Utah's natural landscape.
We'll start the day with a short walk to the iconic Mesa Arch—a natural arch that serves as a window to breathtaking views over the canyon. This spot is particularly beautiful in the early morning, when the sunlight paints the rocks in shades of orange.
The next stop is Grand View Point, where we will enjoy a sweeping panorama of canyons and valleys stretching to the horizon. There's a short trail along the canyon edge that offers us an easy hike with views from all sides.
After brief stops at White Rim Overlook & Buck Canyon Overlook, we'll take a short hike to Upheaval Dome, a geological phenomenon whose exact nature remains a mystery.
We will climb to the first and second viewpoints, from where the massive crater, likely formed by a meteorite or an ancient landslide, is visible.
In the afternoon, we'll make our way to Dead Horse Point State Park to witness one of the most breathtaking views of the Colorado River's bend, which is just as impressive as the Grand Canyon.
Day 10
Monument Valley: The Sacred Land of the Navajo
After our adventures in Canyonlands, we head south towards Monument Valley – one of the most recognisable and dramatic landscapes of the Southwest, famed for its monumental rock formations that majestically rise above the desert.
Monument Valley is a sacred place for the Navajo people (Diné), whose culture and traditions are deeply interwoven with these lands. For them, the monumental rocks and red sands are not merely natural formations but spiritual symbols connected to the beliefs and stories of their ancestors. Through tours with local Navajo guides, visitors can discover hidden spots, ancient petroglyphs, and hear legends that impart new meaning to the landscape, preserving the spirit and magic of Monument Valley.
Upon arriving at Monument Valley, we'll embark on a driving tour along the popular route through the valley. During the tour, we will witness iconic formations like The Mittens, John Ford Point, Totem Pole, and other remarkable sites. This is a self-drive route that allows for stops to capture photos and enjoy the unique scenery.
We will also visit Forrest Gump Point: The famous photo spot on Highway 163 where Forrest Gump's character stops running in the film. Here, we can take a few shots of the distinctive road with a breathtaking backdrop of red cliffs.
In the evening, we'll conclude with sunset watching from a suitable vantage point – this moment is perfect for photographers, as the sun's rays add even more vibrant colours to the rock formations.
Day 11
Page & Lake Powell
Today, we're heading west to Page, Arizona – a little town famous for its unique natural attractions like Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend.
An interesting fact is that Page is in its own time zone, separate from everything around it (called Mountain Standard Time).
Today, you'll have the chance to explore Lake Powell from various angles, and if you wish, you can rent a jet ski, boat, paddleboard, or join paid tours.
We'll finish our day with a visit to Horseshoe Bend – the renowned bend of the Colorado River where the river elegantly twists in a grand 270-degree turn around the rocks. If it's crowded, we'll take you to an alternative spot for a spectacular sunset over the canyon.
Day 12
Antelope Canyon & The Wave
We start our day with an organised tour to Antelope Canyon, where we'll enjoy unforgettable views of the canyon's undulating shapes and magical play of light. The tours are led by local Navajo guides, who will share more about the canyon and its significance to their culture.
After the walk in the canyon, we'll have time to explore other landmarks in the area, and if we're lucky, some of us might get the chance to visit The Wave - one of the most picturesque places in the world, for which we'll participate in a paid lottery.
Day 13
Grand Canyon
Today, we set our sights on one of the world's most famous natural wonders – the Grand Canyon. After waking up in Page, we'll head southwest to reach the South Rim, where we'll have the chance to explore the most remarkable panoramas and immerse ourselves in the magic of this natural phenomenon
Day 14
Grand Canyon
Today, we'll have the chance to delve even deeper into the grandeur of the Grand Canyon by dedicating the entire day to new trails and panoramic views. Expect a day filled with exploring the canyon's edge, remarkable paths, and iconic landmarks that will further unveil the beauty of this natural masterpiece.
We'll journey along part of the Rim Trail – a picturesque path that skirts the edge of the canyon, starting from Grand Canyon Village and leading through several breathtaking vista points. The trail is easy and accessible, allowing us to enjoy views of the canyon from various angles without descending.
Following Hermit Road, we'll reach Hermits Rest, one of the southern rim's most remote points. Along the way, there are numerous viewpoints like Maricopa Point and Pima Point that will reveal different canyon aspects to us. Hermits Rest is a historic building with intriguing architecture and a cosy interior, perfect for a brief rest.
We’ll conclude the day with a stunning sunset at Mohave Point, where we'll bask in the tranquillity and beauty of the canyon, painted in warm hues by the setting sun.
Day 15
Back to Las Vegas
After two adventure-filled days at the Grand Canyon, today we head back to Las Vegas.
If the group wishes, we can make a short stop to visit Hoover Dam – one of the most remarkable engineering projects in the USA, where we will explore the dam and learn more about its history and role in the region.
We conclude our journey with a long night and time for fun in the city of neon lights, casinos, and world-famous shows.
Day 16
Flight to Bulgaria
We wake up after the longest night of our journey and leave what happened in Vegas to stay there. Unless we woke up with a million more. We'll take that one with us :-)
The day will allow us to bid farewell to the magic of the Southwest and enjoy our last moments in Las Vegas before we head home with many new memories and impressions.

How and when do I need to get my visa?
For most European citizens, including Bulgarians, you need to obtain a tourist visa to the USA. The process requires completing the DS-160 form online, booking an interview at the American embassy, and paying a fee (typically around $200).
Once you've registered and paid the deposit, you'll need to begin the process and schedule your interview as soon as possible.
To be granted a US visa, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your planned departure date from the USA. The visa will be added to it.

Can I fly a drone?
In the USA, the use of drones is strictly regulated.
In most national parks (e.g., Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Grand Canyon), drones are strictly prohibited and the penalties are severe - up to a $5000 fine, confiscation of equipment, criminal charges, and even imprisonment for more serious offences.
If you plan to fly a drone outside of the parks, you must adhere to local regulations and have a permit from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), which can be obtained online before your trip.

Are there risks from wild animals and insects?
The national parks in the USA are home to a wide variety of wildlife – from deer and squirrels to mountain lions and snakes. However, the risk to travellers is minimal if you follow safety guidelines.
Do not feed the animals and avoid leaving food outside your camper.
Wear closed shoes during hikes in case of encounters with snakes or scorpions.
Keep your eyes on the ground and step firmly to make noise so they hear you from afar and scurry away.
Don't leave backpacks, clothes, hats, shoes, and other items unattended on the ground.

Are there any challenging treks?
The best way to experience the nature of the Southwest is to walk among it, so our program includes numerous hikes and treks, some of which might be more challenging.
If you wish to skip any of the treks, you can always rest at the campsite or wait for us at a scenic viewpoint.

Ready for an adventure?
Adventuring through the national parks of the American Southwest calls for some solid preparation. We'll be traversing diverse landscapes – from desert vistas and canyons to cool nights under the stars. To ensure you're comfortable and ready for every challenge, we've put together a list of essentials:
Be prepared for significant temperature swings. Daytime temperatures can reach 25-35°C in parks like Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Arches, and 35-40°C in the lower and more desert areas (Page, Monument Valley, Valley of Fire). At night, however, they drop considerably – down to 15-20°C, and at higher elevations (Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef) even to 5-15°C.
