Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to the Philippines
After the long flight, we land in Manila – the vibrant capital of the Philippines. We head to the hotel for check-in and a well-deserved rest. Today, we give ourselves time to adapt to the tropical air and recharge – tomorrow, the real adventure begins.
Overnight stay in Manila.
Day 2
Into the Wild South of Palawan
After breakfast, we board a domestic flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa – the capital of Palawan Island and the gateway to one of the Philippines' most rugged and beautiful places.
At the airport in Puerto Princesa, we have a transfer waiting for us with minibuses to Riotuba – a remote town in the southern part of the island, nestled among jungles, mountains, and silence. The area is known for its natural wealth, but the conditions here are basic and unassuming – part of the charm of being far from the tourist crowds.
Overnight in Riotuba.
Food: breakfast, dinner.
Day 3
The Beginning of the Island Odyssey – Balabak
Early in the morning (07:00), we set off from the lodge in Riotuba, heading for Buliluyan Pier – the southern tip of Palawan, where our island adventure in Balabac begins.
After a short journey by van (about 1 hour), we board the boats and sail towards the first islands of this nearly untouched cluster – made up of 36 tropical escapes beyond time.
Today we will visit:
Tangkahan Island – our first stop with white beaches and turquoise waters.
Patawan Island – deserted bliss.
Sicsican Island – here, we'll set up our camp for the night and celebrate the evening with a starlit atmosphere, by the ocean shore.
Expected arrival on the island: around 17:00.
Camping overnight at Sicsican Island.
Food: breakfast, dinner.
Day 4
Onok – the Lost Paradise of the Philippines
At 08:00, we commence a new day of our island odyssey - and not just any start, but with a visit to the most magical spot in the whole of Balabac: Onok Island.
Onok is a private island, until recently completely inaccessible to tourists, and even today accessible only with special permission - which we’ve already secured. The sand here is as white as flour, the water – crystal blue, and the feeling – as if we've drifted into a dream.
Among the coral lagoons around the island, sea turtles are often encountered, swimming calmly near the shallow waters. And if we are lucky, we might even get to see them up close with a mask and snorkel.
In the afternoon, we return to Sicsican Island, where our campsite is already familiar, yet the atmosphere remains enchanting. A second night camping on the very shore – with the sunset, stars, and the sound of waves instead of an alarm.
Overnight camping at Sicsican Island.
Food: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 5
Islands, starfish, and timelessness
At 08:00, we get on the boats again – with wind in our hair and salty spray on our faces, we head towards the next island treasures of Balabac.
Our first stop is Canibungan Island – a tranquil, almost deserted island with silky sands and turquoise shallows. Perfect for a stroll, diving, or simply blissful lounging under the palms.
We continue to Candaraman Island and the famous Starfish Sandbar – a shallow sand plateau in the middle of the sea, where we will encounter dozens of starfish, lying on the seabed as if carefully arranged. The sight is surreal, especially at high tide.
After the magical day, we return to Sicsican Island for another peaceful evening at the camp.
Overnight camping on Sicsican Island.
Food: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 6
A Day of Silence, Beach, and Tropical Timelessness
Today, we have no scheduled activities. This is a day for true relaxation – chilling on the beach, wandering along the sandy shores of Sicsican Island, reading a book under a palm tree, or simply listening to the silence that here sounds like music.
If you’re in the mood for more activity, you can join in on fishing the local way or explore the island on foot – an experience that will allow you to fully embrace its wild, untouched nature.
⚠️ Important: We recommend not swimming on the opposite side of the island, where the mangrove forests begin, because the Philippines is home to saltwater crocodiles – the largest in the world. Don’t worry, the camp area and the beach where we swim are in the safe part of the island.
Overnight camping on Sicsican Island.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 7
Journey to El Nido – weaving through jungles, scooters, and chickens
We set sail on our final island adventure in the Balabac archipelago. We visit Canimeran Island – an island with slightly pinkish sands, formed from finely crushed red corals, and long rows of coconut palms swaying shadows over the deserted shore.
This is our final island stop, a place for last photos, deep breaths, and a quiet farewell to the ocean’s rhythm. After the tour, we disembark at Buliluyan Port, from where we head back by van to Puerto Princesa.
Overnight in Puerto Princesa.
Food: breakfast.
Day 8
Journey to El Nido – weaving through jungles, scooters, and chickens
After breakfast, we leave Puerto Princesa and head off with a private transfer to El Nido – one of the most stunning bays in the Philippines, renowned for its limestone cliffs and turquoise lagoons.
The journey takes about 4–5 hours, but it's rich in local colour. Along the way, we'll see it all: scooters loaded to the brim, chickens roaming free, heartfelt waves from children, and occasionally, water buffalo in no rush at all.
In the afternoon, we arrive in El Nido and check into the hotel. The evening is free for a stroll, sunset on the beach, or simply relaxing with a coconut in hand.
Overnight in El Nido.
Food: breakfast.
Day 9
Islands, Cliffs, and Turquoise Infinity – An Adventure Around El Nido
Today, we are in for an unforgettable boat tour around the El Nido archipelago – one of the iconic parts of the Philippines.
The itinerary adapts according to the weather and safety conditions, but usually includes visits to some of the following places:
Secret Lagoon – hidden behind limestone cliffs, accessible only at low tide
Big Lagoon or Small Lagoon – impressive with their shape, the colour of the water, and the opportunities for kayaking or swimming
Shimizu Island – a great spot for snorkelling among corals and fish
Seven Commando Beach – a paradise beach with coconut trees and fine sand
Snake Island – a sandbar that connects two islands and resembles a snake, especially at low tide
We will stop for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, and during the lunch break – we will enjoy fresh Filipino food, prepared on the boat.
We return to El Nido in the late afternoon, with salty skin and a full soul.
Food: Breakfast, lunch
Transport: Boat
Overnight stay in El Nido
Day 10
A day of freedom in El Nido
After the intense sea adventures, today is a day for free exploration of the land. El Nido and its surroundings offer more than you could expect – just choose your own pace.
Rent a scooter and head to the northern part of the island – you'll pass by chickens on the road, kids waving with smiles, and views of rice fields that simply can't fit into one photo.
Napcan Beach – considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines, just about 45 minutes by scooter. Perfect for relaxation, coconut water, and endless splashing in the waves.
Calauit Safari Park (optional, with organised tour) – one of the most surprising places in the Philippines, home to giraffes, zebras, and other African animals moved here in the '70s. A bit further away, but a unique experience for wildlife lovers.
Taraw Cliff Canopy Walk – if you want a view over El Nido, this is for you. You'll ascend steel bridges and trails attached to the rocks to reach a panoramic point overlooking the entire bay.
Zipline from Las Cabanas to Depeldet Island – to soar over the water between two islands? Absolutely possible. And absolutely unforgettable.
The evening is perfect for a stroll along the El Nido shore, a cocktail on the beach, and a seafood dinner on a cosy terrace.
Food: Breakfast
Overnight stay in El Nido
Day 11
El Nido – Coron
After breakfast, we head to the port and set sail by ferry from El Nido to Coron Island. The journey takes about 4 to 5 hours and offers scenic views of the islands between Palawan and Busuanga.
Arriving in Coron and checking into the hotel. Free time to relax after the journey or explore the town.
Food: breakfast
Transport: ferry
Overnight in Coron
Day 12
Coron Tour – Lakes, Lagoons, and Sunken Ships
Today, we have a full-day boat tour to the most iconic natural landmarks of Coron – true masterpieces of Philippine nature await us.

Twin Lagoon – two interconnected lagoons where salt and freshwater blend. Access between them is through a narrow passage or under the rock, if the water level allows.
Skeleton Wreck – remnants of a Japanese cargo ship sunk during World War II. A perfect spot for snorkelling.
Banul / Atwayan Beach – a stunning beach where we'll have lunch with our feet in the sand.

If you choose the land tour, we will visit:
Maquinit Hot Springs – natural hot mineral springs nestled in a mangrove forest. The perfect spot to relax at the end of our journey.
Cabo Beach – one of the most beautiful beaches in the area with white sand and turquoise water – ideal for unwinding and swimming.
We’ll have lunch in a small local restaurant where you can try traditional Filipino seafood delicacies.
If you prefer to hop back on a boat, we’ll offer you an alternative route with new wild lagoons and beaches, beyond the classic tour from the previous day.
