Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to the Philippines
After the long flight, we land in Manila – the bustling capital of the Philippines. We head to the hotel for check-in and a well-deserved rest. Today, we take time to adjust to the tropical air and recharge – tomorrow the real adventure begins.
Overnight stay in Manila.
Day 2
Into the Wild South of Palawan
After breakfast, we board a domestic flight from Manila to Puerto Princesa – the capital of Palawan Island and the gateway to one of the most rugged and beautiful places in the Philippines.
At the airport in Puerto Princesa, a transfer awaits us by minivans to Riotuba – a remote town in the southern part of the island, nestled among jungles, mountains, and silence. The area is known for its natural wealth, but the conditions here are basic and unpretentious – part of the charm of being far from tourist crowds.
Overnight in Riotuba.
Food: breakfast, dinner.
Day 3
The Beginning of the Island Odyssey – Balabak
Early in the morning (07:00), we depart from the lodge in Riotuba with a transfer to Buliluyan port – the southern tip of Palawan, where our island adventure in Balabac begins.
After a short van ride (about 1 hour), we board the boats and set sail to the first islands of this nearly untouched group – composed of 36 tropical havens lost in time.
Today, we will visit:
Tangkahan Island – first stop with white beaches and turquoise waters.
Patawan Island – deserted bliss.
Sicsican Island – here we will set up our camp for the night and celebrate the evening with a starlit atmosphere, on the ocean shore.
Expected arrival at the island: around 17:00.
Camping overnight at Sicsican Island.
Food: breakfast, dinner.
Day 4
Onok – the Lost Paradise of the Philippines
At 08:00, we embark on a new day of our island odyssey, and not just any day, but a visit to the most enchanting spot in all of Balabac: Onok Island.
Onok is a private island, until recently completely inaccessible to tourists, and today still only accessible with special permission – which we have already arranged. The sand here is white as flour, the water – transparently blue, and the feeling – as if we have stumbled into a dream.
Among the coral lagoons around the island, sea turtles are often seen swimming calmly near the shallows. And if we're lucky, we might even see them up close with a mask and snorkel.
In the afternoon, we return to Sicsican Island, where our camp is already familiar, yet the atmosphere remains magical. A second night camping by the shore – with sunset, stars, and the sound of waves instead of an alarm.
Camping overnight on Sicsican Island.
Food: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 5
Islands, starfish, and timelessness
At 08:00, we embark on the boats once again – with the wind in our hair and salty sprays on our faces, heading towards the next island treasures of Balabac.
Our first stop is Canibungan Island – a tranquil, nearly deserted island with silky sands and turquoise shallows. Perfect for a stroll, diving, or simply blissfully lounging under the palms.
We continue to Candaraman Island and the famous Starfish Sandbar – a shallow sandy plateau in the middle of the sea, where we'll encounter dozens of starfish, spread out on the bottom as if deliberately arranged. The view is surreal, especially at high tide.
After the magical day, we return to Sicsican Island for another peaceful evening at the camp.
Overnight camping at Sicsican Island.
Food: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 6
A Day of Silence, Beach, and Tropical Timelessness
Today we have no schedule. It's a day for true relaxation – lazing on the beach, strolling along the sandy shores of Sicsican Island, reading a book under a palm tree, or simply listening to the silence, which here sounds like music.
If you're up for more activity, you can join in on traditional fishing or take a walk around the island – an experience that will let you fully embrace its wild, untouched side.
⚠️ Important: We recommend not swimming on the opposite side of the island, where the mangrove forests begin, because the Philippines is home to saltwater crocodiles – the largest in the world. Don’t worry, the camp zone and the beach where we swim are in a safe part of the island.
Overnight camping on Sicsican Island.
Food: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 7
Journey to El Nido – weaving through jungles, scooters, and chickens
We set sail on our final island trip in the Balabac archipelago. We visit Canimeran Island – an island with slightly pinkish sands, formed from finely ground red corals, and long rows of coconut palms that cast shadows over the deserted shore.
This is our final island stop, a place for last photos, deep breaths, and a quiet farewell to the ocean's rhythm. After the tour, we land at Buliluyan Port, from where we head back by van to Puerto Princesa.
Overnight in Puerto Princesa.
Meals: breakfast.
Day 8
Journey to El Nido – weaving through jungles, scooters, and chickens
After breakfast, we leave Puerto Princesa and head out with a private transfer to El Nido – one of the most breathtaking bays in the Philippines, famed for its limestone cliffs and turquoise lagoons.
The journey takes about 4–5 hours, but it's rich with local colour. Along the way, we'll see it all: scooters piled high, freely roaming chickens, heartfelt waves from children, and occasionally, water buffalo in no rush at all.
In the afternoon, we arrive in El Nido and settle into the hotel. The evening is yours to explore, catch a sunset on the beach, or simply relax with a coconut in hand.
Overnight in El Nido.
Food: breakfast.
Day 9
Islands, Cliffs, and Turquoise Infinity – An Adventure Around El Nido
Today awaits us with an unforgettable boat tour through the El Nido archipelago – one of the iconic regions of the Philippines.
The programme is adjusted according to weather and safety, but typically includes visits to some of the following places:
Secret Lagoon – hidden behind limestone cliffs, accessible only at low tide
Big Lagoon or Small Lagoon – impressive with their shapes, the colour of the water, and the opportunity for kayaking or swimming
Shimizu Island – a great spot for snorkelling among corals and fish
Seven Commando Beach – a paradise beach with coconut trees and fine sand
Snake Island – a sandbar that connects two islands and resembles a snake, especially at low tide
We will stop for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, and during the lunch break – enjoy fresh Filipino food prepared on the boat.
We return to El Nido in the late afternoon, with salty skin and a full soul.
Food: Breakfast, Lunch
Transport: Boat
Overnight stay in El Nido
Day 10
A day of freedom in El Nido
After intense sea adventures, today is a day for free exploration of the land. El Nido and its surroundings offer more than one might expect – just choose your own pace.
Rent a scooter and head towards the northern part of the island – you'll pass by chickens on the road, children waving with smiles, and views of rice fields that simply can't be captured in one photo.
Napcan Beach – considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines, just about a 45-minute scooter ride away. Perfect for relaxing, sipping coconut water, and endlessly splashing in the waves.
Calauit Safari Park (optional, with an organised tour) – one of the most surprising places in the Philippines, where giraffes, zebras, and other African animals have lived since being relocated here in the 1970s. A bit further out but a unique experience for wildlife enthusiasts.
Taraw Cliff Canopy Walk – if you want a view over El Nido, this is for you. You'll ascend steel bridges and paths attached to the rocks to reach a panoramic point overlooking the entire bay.
Zipline from Las Cabanas to Depeldet Island – flying over water between two islands? Absolutely possible. And absolutely unforgettable.
The evening is perfect for a stroll along El Nido’s shore, a beach cocktail, and a seafood dinner on a cosy terrace.

There are no mandatory vaccines for the Philippines. There are recommended ones, which are optional. Consult your GP for the latest recommendations before travelling.
What documents do I need for the Philippines?
No visa is required, only an international passport with validity of at least 6 months after the end of the journey.
Are there any important laws I should be aware of?
The Philippines has strict drug laws, so stay away from any prohibited substances. The import of illegal optical discs and night vision devices is also banned. Follow the local rules and you’ll travel without issues.
Is there a risk from wild animals and danger from insects?
In the Philippines, nature is rich and diverse. Follow the guide's instructions and swim only in recommended places. With a little caution and common sense, you'll enjoy incredible underwater and land encounters.
What's the temperature like, and is it suitable for kids?
The temperature in the Philippines is tropical year-round, ranging from 25°C to 33°C. Humidity is high, especially during the rainy season (June-November). The journey is not specifically designed for children, as the program includes long transitions, water crossings, and activities that require good physical fitness.
What's the currency and how much money should I carry with me?
We recommend carrying the equivalent of 300 euros in Philippine pesos. You can exchange currency, both in Bulgaria and upon landing at the airport.
How many days will we camp under the stars, will there be electricity, and where can we wash up?
Wild islands, bathing from a barrel, camping under the stars for 3 nights. In the evenings, we'll have electricity from a generator for about 2 hours to charge everything we need. It's worth it. Then we return to civilization and have everything at our fingertips.
When can I sign up for the additional activities?
Registration for these activities will take place during the journey. Payment is made in cash on site.
Can you get mobile service and internet access?
When we arrive, we will purchase local maps priced between 1.20 BGN and 30.00 BGN.
Can I take my drone?
Of course - the Philippines are stunning from above. Keep in mind that two drones were lost there last year. There are often strong winds and/or connection issues.
