Why British Columbia?

A sense of freedom, independence, and incomparable emotions on wheels

The best way to explore Canada is to start with British Columbia. We will visit four of the largest national parks – Glacier, Banff, Jasper, and Yoho. This is a land of abundance. Nature has taken great care with all the incredible places it has created. After the adventure and encounters with the wild and entirely pristine nature, you'll completely rethink your life. Canada is a country with a total of 38 national protected parks. British Columbia is the westernmost province in Canada. The population is about 5.1 million people. The capital is Victoria, and the largest city is Vancouver. Spain and Russia have contested its territory, and during the Gold Rush, thousands of people came here hoping to build a better future for themselves and their families. After everything that's been happening in the world in recent years, we need positive emotions and to make up for lost time. Well, here is the perfect place for a reset because you'll feel like the main character from “The Call of the Wild”. They say dreams are always more beautiful than reality. Well, while we're on our adventure, believe us, you won't want to close your eyes.

A sense of freedom, independence, and unparalleled emotions on wheels – this is just part of the experience when travelling with a camper. Our mobile homes are 2018-2019 models, type motorhome – imagine a studio on wheels with two king-size beds and a single bed, a bath and a half, bathroom, wardrobes for clothes, a kitchen, WIFI, and 220W power. And that's not all. Each camper comes with a driver who will also be your guide during the journey. Your mobile homes will be waiting stocked with groceries and drinks. The campsites we have chosen offer showers, kitchens, and incredible locations. The food is all-inclusive.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Vancouver!

Meet at the airport and set off for Vancouver. Settle into the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2

Flight Ultimate Glacier Tour

We set off from Vancouver towards Whistler, which is 130 km away and takes about 2 hours by camper. Once we arrive, we'll embark on an unforgettable seaplane tour, which lasts about 2 hours. The views we'll encounter are truly unique.

Glaciers once reigned 15,000 years ago, buried so deep that only the peaks of the highest parts felt the warmth of the afternoon sun. This amazing flight lets you enjoy the alpine mountains for as long as possible, seeing how these massive volcanoes and powerful ice rivers shape and carve the magnificent landscape. Picture a remote alpine lake nestled between towering peaks, draped with hanging blue glaciers. Now, imagine landing above a splendid waterfall and reaching a pristine golden sandy beach.

Relax and breathe in the fresh mountain air as you take in the stunning nature. The flight includes all the highlights of the Ultimate Glacier Tour. We'll spend the night at Whistler RV Park and Campground.

Day 3

The Adventure in Glacier National Park of Canada

We are leaving Whistler and heading toward the next adventure awaiting us in Glacier National Park of Canada – 550 km away, between 6 and 8 hours by car. The journey is long, but the views that unfold during this time will help the hours fly by and charge you with positive emotions.

After the long drive, we will settle into a campsite in the area. This place is incredible. Here, we will blend with nature, you'll be able to take a 'media detox', and you'll meet the locals who are very friendly. The area around the campsite is grizzly bear territory, so there's a chance we'll meet them too.

Day 4

From Mount Bonney to Banff National Park

On this day, we embark on a gentle hike to Marion Lake. Exploring Glacier National Park is a fantastic way to acquaint ourselves with the Columbia Mountains, which are rich in natural wonders and steeped in history. Trails across the glaciers range from short strolls through ancient rainforests to ambitious climbs with dramatic mountain views. To reach Marion Lake, we'll walk about 3.6 km, which takes roughly 1.30 hours. The elevation gain is 461 m (from 1245 m to 1706 m). By reaching the ridge, passing by the Abbott Ridge trail, we will relish Marion Lake. This little lake bears the name of Reverend William Spotswood Green's daughter.

He visited the lake in 1888 with his cousin Henry Swanzy, on their way to Mount Bonney. At the lake, Reverend tried his luck at fishing, but without success. He wrote in his diary: “I am inclined to believe that the reason the fish do not bite is that there simply aren't any here.” The harsh climate of small lakes like this, with waters poor in nutrients, and the inaccessible location, make fish colonization impossible. From the lake, we can take a short side journey to a viewpoint over the Trans-Canada Highway. From this spot, we'll see trains coming from or entering the Connaught Tunnel. The tunnel was completed in 1916 as a means to protect railway traffic from the deadly avalanches of Rogers Pass.

The drive to Banff National Park is about 240 km, which will take us 3-4 hours by car. We will also pass by Emerald Lake, located in Yoho National Park.

It is one of Canada's iconic locations, so you've likely seen its photos on Instagram. Beautiful turquoise water, surrounded by magnificent mountains that tower around it, with peaks reflected in the lake.

We will camp overnight at Tunnel Mountain Village II campground.

Day 5

Sunrise by Moraine Lake and canoeing at Lake Louise

We'll start the day with an extraordinary sunrise by Moraine Lake and paddle a canoe on Lake Louise. Today, we'll need to rise very early, but believe us—the stunning view that will greet us and start our day is worth it. Moraine Lake is a favourite among tourists. Catching the sunrise is a tradition for the more motivated adventurers. One positive aspect is that we'll enjoy a breathtaking view. The other is that we'll avoid the crowds that will appear later in the day. This lake is nestled among the majestic mountains and beautiful forests of Canada. Its water is so blue, you'll wonder if you're still asleep and this is part of your dream.

Lake Louise is the calling card of Banff National Park. It is also one of the most famous lakes in all of Canada and one of the most visited lakes in the world. It's incredible. The water has such a beautiful blue hue, and the mountains reflect in it like a postcard. The place is magical, and you'll fall in love with it. Amidst this breathtaking beauty, we'll grab the canoes and embark on our adventure, soaking in the atmosphere for a longer, closer experience. We'll camp out at Tunnel Mountain Village II campground.

Day 6

Free time exploring Banff National Park

If you feel adventurous, you can embark on a self-guided hike. There's an array of trails to choose from in this region. While you soak in the pristine beauty of Canada, our professional chef will prepare a true culinary experience for you. Banff National Park is the first national park established in Canada, dating back to 1885, and it is currently the most visited. It spans 6641 sq. km. The area is covered with numerous glaciers, ice fields, coniferous forests, and alpine landscapes. It offers a wealth of opportunities for those with a spirit of adventure and a desire to explore new wild places. Overnight stay again in Tunnel Mountain Village II campground.

Day 7

On the road to the Canadian Rockies

We depart from Banff and head towards Jasper National Park and Peyto Lake, which is 400km away, roughly a 4 to 6-hour drive. Jasper National Park spans 11,000 square km and is the largest in the Canadian Rockies region. It's wild in every sense, where encountering a grizzly or moose is perfectly normal. While other areas see a dramatic decline in wildlife, here robust populations of plants and animals thrive. Established in 1907, it boasts over 990 km of hiking trails suitable for both day hikes and multi-day treks. Peyto Lake is another place that will recharge us with its stunning views and atmosphere. The panorama opening from the hill towards the lake and the mountains is breathtaking. The blue sky merges with the towering rocky mountains, green forests, and the turquoise water of the lake. We'll spend the night at Wapiti campsite.

Day 8

The Glacier Adventure at Jasper National Park

The icy fields of Columbia evoke emotions that you will remember for a lifetime. At the heart of this unforgettable experience are ancient stories, astonishing landscapes, and the feeling that will stay with you from this extraordinary adventure. We'll explore the ancient Athabasca Glacier aboard a giant ice explorer, learn more about glacial formations, and walk directly on the glacier itself. Then the story comes to life as we stroll across the glass-bottomed Skywalk bridge. Here, you'll quite literally feel as though you're at the edge of the world and understand why this destination is life-changing. The views before you will seem unreal, like paintings or heavily filtered images. Such is the incredible nature of British Columbia. Beginning and ending our adventure at the Glacier Discovery Centre, we'll feel as though we've witnessed a true wonder. We will also pass by Horseshoe Lake. This lake isn't one of the well-known ones in the region. Here, we'll fully enjoy nature and the absence of tourists. The nature is stunning, and those of you with a more adventurous spirit can swim in the water or jump from one of the rocks. Many locals come here to have fun.

After this adventure, we leave Yoho National Park and head to Athabasca Falls & Sunwapta Falls, which is 250 km away, about a 3-4 hour drive. Athabasca Falls is one of the largest attractions within Jasper National Park. It is 23 meters high and 18 meters wide. At this location, the mighty Athabasca River narrows, and the seemingly calm river bursts over the Athabasca Falls. The river is 1,231 km long, originating in Jasper National Park at the Columbia Glacier's end and flowing through Alberta province towards the vast Lake Athabasca, which extends across the borders between Alberta and Saskatchewan. This waterfall may not be the tallest you've ever seen, but the volume of water, the surrounding nature, and the roaring sound created by the falling water will imprint an unforgettable memory of this place in your mind. Sunwapta Falls comprises upper and lower falls. It also isn't among the tallest, but its tiered shape makes it incredibly beautiful. We will camp overnight at Yoho Campsite.

Day 9

The Incredible Harrison Lake

We're leaving Yoho National Park to enjoy the breathtaking Harrison Lake, which is 680 km away, about 8 – 10 hours by car. The distance is indeed great, but the views along the way are stunning. You'll literally want to stop every 5 minutes to capture the beauty unfolding on your journey. Harrison Lake is much longer than it looks when viewed from Harrison Hot Springs. It stretches 60 km and covers over 200 square kilometres. Now, it’s a freshwater lake, but thousands of years ago it wasn't a lake at all, but a sea inlet. Its depth ranges from just a few metres to a maximum depth of 279 m. It supports a rich biodiversity of both seasonal and permanent animal species. Fishing, boating, windsurfing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, or just soaking in the hot spring pool – it's the perfect place to quench your thirst for adventure. Harrison Lake is entirely clean glacier-fed water.

Day 10

Farewell, Canada!

We depart for Vancouver, which is 150 km away, approximately a 3-hour drive by car. It is said to be the most beautiful city in the world and the best place to live. The city's urban planning and architecture even have a name – Vancouverism. The population is around 630 thousand people. A large part of it lives in the city centre, there are many green spaces, and people heavily rely on public transport. On one side, the magnificent mountains rise around the city, and on the other, the Pacific Ocean stretches its infinity. A truly interesting and unique city.

Next is the Vancouver – Sofia flight
