The beginning of our camper van tour originates from Covid-stricken Bulgaria, marking the first attempt to create a unique tourist experience in the country by Panic Frame & Travel.
What started as an idea to entice Bulgarians to discover their own country has now expanded into a collaboration between Panic Frame & Travel and Visit my Bulgaria. This year’s journey will be an intense 12-day dive into the heart of the Rhodope Mountains, allowing you to fully lose yourself in the mystique, folklore, and nature that this part of the country holds.
Our tour of the wild Rhodopes is the most logical beginning for expanding various adventures and journeys across the country. To eventually reach the old capital of Veliko Tarnovo, the Black Sea, and the famous Belogradchik Fortress, we will first embark on a tour of a part of the country that we guarantee will appeal to everyone.

One of Europe's last wild fortresses
We will pass through small villages nestled among towering cliffs, visit a mountain school tasked with preserving the most sacred Bulgarian music and dance, sleep endless nights under the starry sky and deep forests, and visit many key sites in Bulgarian tourism like the Seven Rila Lakes, Europe's oldest city Plovdiv, and the Rila Monastery, among others.
Close to Nature
Although this journey could have been undertaken in many ways, we quickly concluded that Bulgaria's rich natural beauty, combined with the opportunity for an outdoor picnic, meant that travelling by campervan was our best bet. And this is the perfect time to mention that outdoor picnics will be our speciality, as we will have the popular chefs and outdoor adventurers, Bivouac, with us during the trip. Get ready for meals under the clear sky, roasted meat over an open fire, and much more.
In Safe Hands
And you'll definitely want to eat well, because exciting experiences await, such as a traditional folklore concert, a journey on the famous narrow-gauge train, kayaking across Lake Beglik, encounters with rescued brown bears, and many more, all with the help of experienced guides Emiliyan and Martin, as well as professional chefs and mountain adventurers.
Emiliyan and Martin have spent years getting to know Bulgaria, whether through tourism campaigns, documentaries, or meetings with locals in the forgotten corners of the country. They are just as eager to show you their homeland as you should be to discover it.

We will journey over 1000 km in our campers, which will be equipped with all the necessary comforts.
We shall visit the largest monastery in Bulgaria.
We will indulge in a unique sensory experience crafted by the chefs at Bivoac Kitchen
We'll revel in nature at places that feel like they're ours alone.
With an experienced mountain guide, we'll conquer Vihren - the third highest peak in the Balkans, where beauty and challenge are assured.
The wine tasting in the Melnik region will be a must-stop for us. We will immerse ourselves in the local flavours, sampling wines in delightful company.
Canyon of Waterfalls: The name of this trail is no coincidence. The presence of numerous waterfalls with varying heights makes this trail so alluring. Autumn colours will surround us as we cross bridges and enjoy a circular three-hour route.
Jeeps will take us to one of the finest viewpoints over the Rhodope Mountains, where we'll gaze upon the endlessness of this mystical range.
An unforgettable private performance of folk arts from the most fitting venue for such an experience.
The Narrow-Gauge Railway is one of the most picturesque and intriguing train journeys in the Balkans. We'll share our travel with the locals who use the train daily as we revel in the mountain scenery.
We’ll also visit the Belitsa Reserve, one of the most important institutions established in recent years focused on animals. It offers a chance for a new life for rescued brown bears, also known as the *dancing bears*.
